Monteverde is located in the upper part of the province of Puntarenas at a height of 1800 meters above sea level, at this altitude the climate changes drastically, there are cold or temperate temperatures, cloudy skies and mist; which is why it is considered cloud forest. On the road you will have the joy of observing beautiful landscapes of dry Tropical Forest and cloud forest and in the heights a spectacular view towards the Gulf of Nicoya and Cerros de Nicoya, Isla de Chira, lowlands of Puntarenas and Guanacaste.

On this tour we will walk through the Cloud Forest, on 11 suspended bridges, where you can observe the cloud forest from the lower part or soil, as well as from the canopy or the upper part of the trees where we will find a variety of epiphytic plants, lichens, vines, ferns, birds typical of the cloud forest.

On the way back we will do the coffee and chocolate tour, participate in some of the very traditional processes used in a plantation and that make it possible to produce a Costa Rican coffee of such rich flavor. The whole tour is guided by explaining the processes of growing and farming coffee; Depending on the time of year you can pick some ripe grains from the plant, you can also observe the process of grinding and roasting the grain. On the tour, you will have the opportunity tovisit the trapiche, see the extraction of the juice of sugar cane and savor this delicious drink.

Finally we will observe the entire chocolate process, from the cocoa tree, the seeds, its derivatives and how they are taken advantage of producing dark chocolate, white chocolate, etc.
